Now that Saaga is in 2nd class she moved to the same school where Frans is in 6th class. Their schoolday is from 8:40 till 14:20 and Rudolf's day lasts from 8:50 till 13:30. In the mornings we drive the kids to school which goes smoothly as we can just drop Saaga and Frans in front of their school and then continue to Ruu's school.
The afternoons have been a hassle since after collecting Ruu (mostly by car but at least once or twice a week I walk to collect him) there's hardly any point to drive home for 15 minutes and then drive back to Saaga and Frans' school. The other choice would be 'hanging around' but again, as the schools are close to each other, 50 minutes is a long time to hang around.
Frans would love to bike to school - which he did the whole last year but Saaga is too young to bike so we've tried to encourage... ask...force them to walk home together (about 2km). Which they have done successfully the past few weeks at least 3 days a week! :)
Last night Saaga had her moment of frustration and started crying why she always has to walk and she wrote J-P the touching letter below:

"To daddy I am not walking from school or running or skipping or crawling or hopping or jumping I have to get a lift Just because I am 3 years older then Ruu dosnt mean that I walk home with Frans Signed Saaga Henrietta Rosti"
Hahahhha, hyvä Saaga :D
ReplyDeleteJa tässä tulikin vastaus Ruun kouluaikoihin. Olispa meilläkin tuollaiset päivät!!! Vaan meillä kun on päivisin kahden tunnin tauko niin iltapäivästä päästään vasta puoli viideltä.
